The instruments are:

1. Flauto Rondo Maple tenor with C/C# keys model 2420 for $420. A tremendous value. A delicate, elegant design. It is a robust and reliable ensemble instrument. Even tone. Comfortable to hold and play.
2. Rottenburgh Rosewood tenor with C/C# keys model 4425 for $825. With the newest technologies Moeck has given the Rottenburgh series a complete makeover. It is the ideal all round tenor. Great for ensemble work. The stretch is comfortable for both fingers and arms. It has an improved pleasing, warm and balanced sound. Many of our students are now playing on the new rosewood. The high C & D are well in tune and speak easily. Beautifully designed key system with roller.
3. Hotteterre Boxwood tenor with antique finish with C/C# keys model 5455 for $1150. Tenor recorder after Jean Hotteterre, Paris, 1640. A powerful, warm, even sound throughout the entire register. Extended range. Excellent for solo work or working with other types of wind instruments. It is a larger tenor than the Rottenburgh series so keys are a necessity.

As a value added service, all wooden recorders offered by us (over $75) have their tuning refined by Elaine who was personally trained by Alec Loretto, a renowned recorder maker from New Zealand.

Next year's Winter Recorder Workshop will again be on President's Weekend, February 12-15, 2010. We'll announce here when registration will begin.
