Many small factors blend together in determining the final sound that any instrument will deliver. Indeed, every part contributes in some way to the sound of that instrument. It is this sorting of variables, this searching for subtleties, that has allowed YAMAHA to be a leading name in musical instruments for almost 100 years. In the recorder, Yamaha's dedicated engineers and craftsmen worked on every detail to produce the best recorders possible. Because we are professional performers and teachers, we know that there is variation among wood recorders, so we personally select only the best, checking each for tuning, attack and tone quality. Then we make any tuning corrections necessary  before presenting it to you for your final inspection. Our Yamaha prices are some of the lowest in the USA.
